Hello Ladies! (Insert wave emoji here). Care to share some history or background about Nope Sisters Clothing? How’d it all begin?

In Breast Cancer Awareness Month - October 2016 - two sisters, Johanna and Brittany designed and hand stitched a t-shirt showing the scars of breast cancer treatment, modeled on their mum’s breast cancer surgery. Within a few days people around the world had responded to their Instagram post, and both women and men wanted to wear them and share the message. So Nope Sisters Clothing was born. A couple months of Brittany’s frantic hand sewing, Johanna taking orders and posting, they had sewn over 100 black or white "Mastectotee" shirts, sent around the world.

That's incredible! What is Nope Sister's mission?

Our mission statement is “Sisters making dope stuff for a good cause”. We are passionate about creating beautiful and exciting garments whilst celebrating and donating to causes that we truly believe in – like Breast Cancer Awareness.

What is your process for creating the “Mastectotees?”

Each "Mastectotee" was hand sewn to order by Brittany (sometimes helped by our mum) and we used our own boobs as models to try and insure as an authentic a size and shape as possible. However due to massive demand – we have just out sourced the sewing to these wonderful local ladies who are very pleased to be able to support us.

"Authentic size and shape", we love that. What do you each enjoy most about your work? Anything been difficult to take on?

It is incredibly rewarding to receive messages of support and interest from all over the world – especially from women who have suffered from breast cancer and love what we are doing. Its also such a joy to walk down the street and see people wearing your stuff! The trickiest thing is that both the sisters are in their early twenties and have never run a business before – there has definitely been some steep learning curves.

We hear ya, but you're doing so well, and so soon! What can we expect of Nope Sisters Clothing in the future? Large or small scale.

We have some awesome ideas in the pipeline for 2017! You can definitely expect a new line of clothes, raising $$ for charities that we are passionate about and some collaborations with talented and exciting local artists.

And ladies, please, where can we find out more?
